I have a photoshop question?

so i am drawing a map in photoshop that is 500pixels by 400 pixels. i want to continue drawing the map so that i can add on more to it, maybe make it 1000 pixels by 1000pixles, so i can add in other cities. hw would i do this on photoshop cs on my mac computer?

Check for Image menu%26gt; Canvas Size

Change your setting and ok, the drawing board will be bigger than before
